A Bench for Ken Eberhart

Ken Eberhart passed away at the age of 69 on May 4th, exactly one year to the day after his son, Matthew. After battling cancer for months, Ken gently passed in comfort care at Hosparus of Louisville, with his wife Denise holding his hand. His Daughter Hannahlynn was able to be by his side the last few weeks, which brought him great peace. He will forever remain a treasured part of his large extended family, who are far too numerous to list, as well as an even larger friend family, who will hold dear his humor, humility, and compassion. His heart no limits.

Ken loved his time on the water. His love for fishing, either from his kayaks, or from the boat he shared with his friend and fellow fisherman Carl, was his passion and his peace. If the sun was out, then Ken was outside. If he wasn’t out on the water, he was making beautiful improvements to their yard. Creating new visual additions to his house and yard were never ending and ever changing projects.

He will best be remembered sitting by the pond he built with his grandson Cameron, listening to music, sipping on a bourbon, and cheering to all things positive. When we lose someone we love, we want a place to go to visit and remember. The Parklands gives us that opportunity. Our goal is to provide a space for friends and family to feel once again close to Ken. We would like to have a bench donated in his name at The Parklands. This bench would offer a place to visit with him outdoors hopefully near the water, just how he would have loved.
