A Bench for Emily Grace

Emily passed away unexpectedly on August 19. We are all heartbroken, confused, and trying to figure out how to grieve the loss of such a beautiful, powerful spirit.

In lieu of a grave, Emily's friends and family have decided to dedicate a San Francisco park bench in her honor: Emily fell in love with San Francisco after moving here in 2019 and dedicated herself to helping SF's most vulnerable populations, with future ambitions to enter local politics. In addition to her love of the city itself, Emily was a policy geek who loved untangling the city's web of bureaucracies - she would love that we are working with SF Parks and Rec to execute a plan like this.

We are in touch with Parks & Rec to determine the exact bench we will dedicate. The cost is $6,000 (for the plaque & maintenance fees). We are setting our goal for $7,000 - any funds raised beyond the $6000 will be used for her memorial on October 14, 2023.
