A bench by the river for Dee

Our dear friend Delicia Heathcock (known to us as Dee) passed away on Monday 11 January after her year-long struggle with cancer.   Following her wishes, there will be no funeral but a scattering of her ashes later in the year near Bewdley Rowing Club. 

Dee led a very full life. Over a glass of red and a cigarette or two, she often reminisced about her years as a youngster growing up in Bewdley,  travelling further afield  to live in Vale and Spain before returning back. This 'Lady on the Path' loved a good conversation with fellow dog walkers as she ambled along the riverbank with Charlie or Bella, resplendently dressed in animal prints, finely styled hair and of course, her lippy.   

Our names are Karoline and Sarah. So that we and all who knew and loved her have a place to go to remember her by, this GoFundMe page has been created in the hope that we can raise £1675 by the end of March. This is so we can lease a space by the River Severn in Bewdley to install a memorial bench.
