A Beautiful Person with Leukaemia
Robyn Austin nee Vibert is a true champion. After beating breast cancer 9 years ago,
which she knocked on its ass, after having to go through chemotherapy and radiation
treatment, she is faced with doing it all again.
Robyn has now contracted treatment
induced Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in
Jan 2020 and has been in POW hospital since February 1, 2020. She has only managed one short break to go home in Port Macquarie to be with family and her two children. Robyn
misses them dearly as she is having many set backs with the chemotherapy and reactions
to some of the medications. Her battle is not over. She is needing more chemotherapy and a ultimately a bone marrow transplant to
improve her chances of survival. Her stay in
hospital will be very long.
Finances are stretched with what she is going through. Prior to diagnosis she was working
as a nurse in Port Macquarie Hospital which
she is no doubt missing, she is always helping people. Hospitalisation is using up all of her
sick leave, annual leave and long service leave
I’m asking if anyone could help relieve the
pressure just a bit, financially. I would be
heart fully grateful and I’m sure Robyn and
her young family would be truely humbled.
