Hi, I’m Elizabeth Apoian- my friend and house cleaner, who also cleans other homes in Chatham, helps many cats in Newark and Elizabeth. After getting to know her, I’ve realized how dire the situation is in those cities. She works full-time and feeds over 100 cats in Newark alone. There used to be more programs for TNR but apparently there are a lot of individuals trying to help tackle a huge problem. Yesterday(Feb 26)she paid out of pocket for a cat that had been hit by a car (in Elizabeth)to be humanely euthanized(I have video of the kitty when she got her and video at the vet if anyone would like to see). I know, ultimately, it is her decision to help and pay for for these things. But I would love to find a way to help support her a little more. I contributed to the $500 bill, she incurred yesterday, but it was only a small dent in the cost. I know everyone is stretched so thin, but she is a literal angel on earth and feel led to try and help. Please do not hesitate to message me with any questions.
