A beautiful memorial melody for our sweet Melanie

Hello,

My name is Debbie Wells (Pullens), and I am a dear friend of Mel's. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share some devastating news. On Wednesday, May 24, we unexpectantly lost a beautiful young soul, Melanie Strowbridge, who brought immense joy with her melodious songs, humble nature, gentle spirit, and boundless motherly love.

Melanie leaves behind her beloved husband/best friend, Mark, who encouraged her to sing fearlessly and passionately with all her heart. She also leaves behind two remarkable sons who were her pride and joy. Darius Jackson, her eldest, recently graduated from Arabia Mountain High School as a Magnet High Achiever and Honor Student. His remarkable achievements earned him a full music scholarship to Jackson State University. Melanie's youngest son, Gabriel Jackson, affectionately known as Gabe, was a true miracle baby and a daily blessing to her. Melanie cherished her boys and spoke of her love for them with every breath she took.

Throughout her career, Melanie devoted most of her working years to The Coca-Cola Company, where she formed countless friendships that felt like family. Quinton, Erika, the entire SPM team, and many others became her support system and gave her a sense of purpose and belonging. Eventually, Melanie would stretch her wings and soar as she began to sing backup for The Joanne Smith Experience. In the early days of Melanie's musical journey, she received a golden opportunity to perform alongside The Joanne Smith Experience at Centennial Park. Nervous yet determined, she took the stage, her voice trembling with anticipation. As the music began to flow, Joanne skillfully guided Melanie, drawing out the melodic sounds hidden within her gentle soul. With each note, Melanie's voice soared, capturing the hearts of everyone present. The crowd was left awestruck, whispering in amazement, "That girl can sing!" Melanie's talent blossomed in that transformative moment, and her name became synonymous with raw talent and undeniable passion. Her mesmerizing performance at Centennial Park marked the beginning of an extraordinary musical journey that touched countless lives.

As we mourn Melanie's loss, we also want to ensure that her sons and family are provided with the support they need during this difficult time. We have established this GoFundMe memorial campaign to rally together as a community and offer our assistance.

The funds raised through this campaign will go towards supporting Darius and Gabriel's educational expenses, ensuring they can continue pursuing their dreams just as Melanie had always encouraged them to do. Additionally, we aim to provide financial assistance for her memorial expenses, offering some relief and stability to the family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

No matter the size, every contribution will make a difference in the lives of these young boys and Mark. Let us come together and honor Melanie's memory by easing the burden they now face. Her husband and boys will deeply appreciate your support and donations.

Please join us in celebrating Melanie's life, her unwavering love for Mark and her boys, and her incredible impact on us all. Share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks, as we believe we can make a significant impact during this challenging time.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Mark, Chicki, and Debbie
