Hello, my name is Linzee Gervasio, and I am creating this fundraiser to help my family cover the costs of my brother Tyler’s wake and funeral.

Tyler sadly suddenly passed away on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Throughout his life, he faced and overcame more medical challenges than most people could ever imagine. When Tyler was born, he was diagnosed with brain cancer and underwent his first surgery at just five months old. Doctors told my parents that he likely would not live past the age of three—but Tyler proved them wrong in the most remarkable way. He would have turned 30 this coming August.

Tyler spent the last five weeks of his life in the hospital, courageously battling several infections that ultimately led to him being placed on life support. While he was on life support, he suffered a heart attack, and in the days that followed, his organs slowly began to fail. Even through those incredibly difficult days, he continued to fight with the same strength he had shown his entire life. Tyler remained on life support for nine days, and on the final day, he peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of those who cared for him so deeply.

Despite everything he endured, Tyler never let his challenges define him. He always had a smile on his face, a positive outlook on life, and never once complained about the obstacles he faced. He truly was sunshine in human form. Tyler had a way of bringing light to everyone around him, always wishing the best for others—even people he had never met.

Unfortunately, my family and I are not in a position to cover the full cost of the services needed to give Tyler the beautiful and meaningful sendoff he deserves. We are asking for any support, whether through donations or by sharing this fundraiser, to help us honor his life and memory in the way he deserves.
