It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the passing of our beautiful baby girl, Jayana Rose Marie Gonzales.

Jayana was diagnosed at just 4 years old with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a terminal and aggressive brain cancer with no cure, on Thanksgiving 2023. We were told this devastating cancer statistically gave her only 10 months to live. Despite those odds, Jayana fought with a strength and courage far beyond her years.

She endured a biopsy, participated in two clinical trials, and bravely completed two rounds of radiation. Sadly, there was no stopping this horrible disease from spreading. On Friday, January 2nd, Jayana took her final breath, surrounded by love.

Our hearts are shattered knowing our daughter never got the chance to start kindergarten, make school friends, or truly experience the childhood she deserved. She was full of light, love, and innocence, and her absence has left a pain that words cannot describe.

As we grieve the loss of our precious baby girl, we are now faced with the overwhelming and unexpected costs of laying her to rest. We are humbly asking for help to cover funeral and burial expenses so we can give Jayana the beautiful farewell she deserves.
