Help A beautiful family recover from tragedy
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laura. I am fundraising to help a dear friend of mine and her family to survive financially after a sudden tragic event. Nicole is one of the most positive, energetic, kind and giving people I know. She has a beautiful family with her husband and 2 sweet boys. She is an incredible mother and she and her college sweetheart husband love eachother so deeply after many years together. They have faced huge challenges already with their boys' unusual health issues, who are on special diets and require treatments, medication and supplements that are rather expensive. This is already a financial stress for the family. They would do anything for their babies. Nicole woke up last week with bad back pain. She pushed through it until she couldn't handle it and ended up in the ER. They sent her home with pain medication. As the days passed instead of getting better it got significantly worse. She began to lose mobility in her arms and then lost feeling in her arms. She couldn't drive, dress herself, or take care of her kids. Over a week after this began the doctors were finally able to schedule an MRI. Nicole was demanded to very carefully return to the hospital as they discovered an emergency situation that could leave Nicole paralyzed from the neck down. She had surgery to remove a vertebra that was lodged in her spinal cord and to fuse 2 others together. She has been in the hospital for 5 days, unable to see her children. She is expected to recover but is unable to walk and can barely move her arms. Her recovery will be a long slow process with intense physical therapy and requiring a lot of support. They have no family locally :( The doctors have no idea when she'll be able to return to work and they are anticipating a big hospital bill. I spoke with her yesterday. She is still just so optimistic and grateful. She knows that her life has changed but is so happy to be alive and to not be permanently paralyzed. She always manages to see the rainbow. There are so many unknowns. They don't know who is going to be able to help her on a daily basis, who will take care of the kids, how they will afford this help or how they will afford their daily lives. Their lives dratically changed in one moment. I don't know a more deserving family. Please if you are able to, anything will help! And please share this with as name people as you can and share on your social media as well. Thank you so much!
