I’ve been watching the devastation that Israel has meted out to the innocent people in Gaza. It crushes me.

I feel lucky that I made friends with Mr Awni Bakr Al-Sahli and his family, 6 months ago, after meeting through Facebook.

We have been in regular contact as Awni keeps me up to date with the grave situation in Gaza and how it is affecting his family.

I started this Gofundme for the benefit of Awni and his wife Nama and their 4 young children in June this year. I want to give them some hope and to help them feel supported.

All donations will help this family to stay safely sheltered are sent to Western Union in Jordan, then sent by a family member to Awni.

Help Me Rebuild My Life After Losing My Son and Home in Gaza

My name is Awni, and I live in Gaza. My life changed forever during the recent war.

In a single moment, my home was completely destroyed, and I lost my beloved son. By a miracle, my family and I survived. Today, we are living in a small, crowded space in a relative’s home — without privacy, without stability, and without dignity.

Our current situation:

We have no home of our own.

We cook our food on an open fire.

We struggle to find food, clean water, and the basic needs of life.

I care for my paralyzed father, and I have no income or support.

All I want is to rebuild a safe home for my family and offer them a life with dignity after all the pain we’ve endured.

My Goal:

I am trying to raise $12,000 to:

Rent or rebuild a small, safe home.

Buy basic furniture and essentials.

Provide medicine and care for my paralyzed father.

Feed and care for my children.
