It’s hard to believe that September 19 will mark one year since we lost our loving father, husband, brother and friend.
Tom had a real gift for exploring—whether it was tracking down bits of history, wandering through new places, or taking detours just to see what was “down that road.” (Ask any of the Lachowiez's about the world's biggest ball of twine or Carhenge.)
Tom was always a big supporter of the National Parks and made many trips out west throughout his life. To honor him, we’re raising funds for a bear box in Grand Teton National Park through the Grand Teton National Park Foundation.
For those who are unfamiliar, a bear box is a safe, secure place for campers to store food, so the bears don’t get curious—and the campers don’t get surprised.
If you’d like to help, your donation would mean the world. Together, we can create something lasting in Tom’s memory—supporting fellow adventurers and protecting the wild places he loved most.
