I am Suwaibatu Mohammed and Taiba is my twin sister who happily got married 8 months ago.

Currently, her world is turned upside down when she and her husband welcomed their first child into the world, only to lose her precious little one to a cruel twist of fate. The pain of that loss cut deep, leaving scars that would never fully heal. Yet, through the darkness, we still found the strength to carry on.

Just when I thought I had weathered the worst of life's storms, tragedy struck once more. Taiba is diagnosed with acute kidney failure, a devastating blow that threatened to shatter her spirit and mine. Days turned into nights, spent in the sterile halls of the hospital, as she still undergoes dialysis treatments in a battle for her very own life.

As the days stretched into weeks and the medical bills piled higher, we find ourselves teetering on the brink of despair. Each procedure, each day of staying at the hospital, seemed to drain us of hope and resources. The financial burden threatened to crush us under its unbearable weight.

Word of Taiba’s struggle has spread through the town, igniting a flame of compassion in the hearts of those who heard her story. Friends, neighbors, and strangers alike rallied together, determined to lift her out of the depths of despair, extending a helping hand in any way they could.

Life lately is just so overwhelming that I can’t watch to lose anymore loved ones. With the help of God, she’s slowly responding to treatment being given to her now. Unfortunately, without health insurance in Ghana, Taiba would need at least $5000 to be able to continue her dialysis treatment and pay her medical bills.
