HELP -A BARBADIAN in CT in NEED

Can you imagine going to work to return to see your home sweet home in flames? On Wednesday evening, March 13th, 2024, a tragedy occurred to our friend, Debra Bryan. This devastated fire engulfed her home including all the family's belongings. In a blink of an eye, ALL!! Everything Debra has worked so hard for was reduced to mere ashes.

The Red Cross has provided some assistance, but one can only envision her road to recovery which will be long and arduous. It’s estimated that it will take at least a year to rebuild her home from scratch.

Presently, Debra and her boys are being faced with numerous challenges and uncertainties. The Insurance investigations are underway, but we know that these things can take a bit of time before she will receive compensation. Today, Debra and her boys are left without the basic necessities and resources needed to rebuild her life. And, we need your assistance.

Friends of Barbados (FOBCT) in Connecticut is raising funds to help Debra and her boys cover their immediate needs such as accommodation, clothing, food and all the basic essentials as they rebuild their lives back to some type of normalcy.

We are asking that you give what you are able to give to this resilient Bajan lady who has always been pleasant, kind, and compassionate to others in their time of need.
