six lower sixth students are setting out to complete a bike ride where at least one member of the team is always riding on a stationary bike for 24 hours. The six boys are, Luca Judge, Inigo Langford, Jordy Bland, Fin Crumley, Zach Goddard, and Jack Hartley. We are doing this to raise money and awareness for the charity Autistica. A charity dedicated to research and advocacy to support those with autism.
our commitment to this cause is deeply personal. Thanks to the Stanleys relationship with the Carwarden house community school, some of us boys had the opportunity to spend some quality time with those who have complex needs, including those with autism. These interactions gave us invaluable insights into the unique perspectives and challenges faced by those with autism. Whilst our initial objective was to teach the Carwarden students, they taught us boys just as much, if not more.
We hope our efforts will inspire people to contribute to this meaningful cause, and help make a positive impact on those living with autism.
