A 21-km Spartan race to support Abbie's final wish

Hi, my name is Aaron Dunning-Foreman. I’ll be running a 21KM Spartan Race on the 4th of October 2025 in honour of someone incredibly strong and brave, Abbie Moore.

Abbie’s journey has been unimaginably hard. In 2018, she and her husband Dan tragically lost their daughter Lillie during childbirth. Their son Jacob was born prematurely at 27 weeks, spending his first 8 months in hospital and now lives with complex needs. Abbie left work to care for Jacob and their eldest son Isaac, balancing life between special needs and mainstream parenting.

Just as they began to find a rhythm, Abbie was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2022 at age 36. Over the past 3 years, she’s endured 10+ rounds of chemo, clinical trials, surgeries, and experimental treatments. Despite moments of hope, in 2025 she received the devastating news: Stage 4 B-cell lymphoma, with aggressive, widespread tumours. Her care is now focused on improving quality of life, not cure.

I created this GoFundMe page, with the help of my wife, to give the Moore family a chance to make memories together , without the burden of financial stress as she hopes to take her beautiful boys to Disneyworld in Florida!

I’ll be running a grueling 21KM Spartan Race to raise money and awareness for Abbie and her beautiful family. This will be one of the toughest physical challenges I’ve ever faced: the Spartan Beast, a 21KM obstacle course with over 30 brutal obstacles across rugged terrain, mud, hills, water, and walls. But compared to what Abbie has endured , this race feels like a small tribute to her strength.

This race is my way of honouring her fight, and helping her family enjoy one last unforgettable adventure together to give her children the kind of memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
