My name is Mustafa. I’m an 17-year-old student from the UK, and over the past year I’ve been teaching myself how to build iOS apps from scratch.

I didn’t start learning to code to make games or social media apps...

I started because I wanted to build something that genuinely benefits Muslims.

The Problem I Noticed

As Muslims, we often need multiple apps just to manage our daily worship:

• One for prayer times

• One for Qur’an

• One for duas

• One for tasbih

• One for mosque locations

• One for quizzes

Many of them are filled with ads, distractions, or limited features behind paywalls.

I wanted to build something different.

I’m building an Islamic App called Rafiq — a complete, premium, calm digital companion designed to help Muslims grow in discipline and consistency.

The aim is simple:

This should be the only app you need to use for worship in your day to day life as a muslim.

What’s Already Built

The app already includes:

• Accurate prayer times with notifications & Adhan

• Full offline Qur’an reader

• Daily quiz with streak system (one attempt per day)

• Tasbih counter with saved statistics

• Stories of the Prophets with progress tracking

• Duas for different occasions

• Mosque finder with favourites

• Qiblah direction

• Daily spiritual refresh (ayah, hadith, quiz, story)

This isn’t an idea. It’s already functioning.

Now I need help to take it to the App Store.

Why I’m Raising Funds

To publish and maintain an app on the Apple App Store requires:

• Apple Developer membership fees

• Ongoing development costs

• Design & asset improvements

• Long-term maintenance

As a student, I don’t currently have the financial resources to fully support these costs on my own.

This isn’t just about launching an app.

My long-term goal is to:

• Make this the most complete Islamic companion app available

• Add accountability features to improve discipline

• Improve mosque features (Jummah times, women’s sections, etc.)

• Expand to Android

• Continue refining it into something truly premium

If this app helps even one Muslim improve their salah consistency, Qur’an reading, or daily discipline — that is success.
