Crash Vet Bills

Monday night I was driving from Fort Myers to PSL and as I was 30 minutes away from my parents house on Martin Hwy I saw something in the road, some small animal more than likely, I swerved out of the way and ended up overcorrecting which caused me to lose control of the vehicle and then proceeded to spin out and around and my passenger collided with a tree. All of my airbags deployed, Rita who was in the front seat got ejected from the car and I'm not sure if Athena jumped out on her own or if she was also ejected but Cody was thrown ontop of my center console and looked to try and escape out the passenger window but I was able to grab him and keep him close to me while I looked for my phone and glasses which somehow were completely fine, my phone case was destroyed but the phone itself was fine enough so my first call was my parents as I tried to crawl out of the passenger side of my car since the drivers door was jammed. As I had them on the phone trying to get them my location I was able to flag someone down who let me put Cody in their car because I was terrified the car was going to blow with how much smoke was pouring out of the car. Shortly after a few other passerbys stopped as well one a nurse and the other and off duty firefighter who helped me get on the right track to call 911 and get them out to the scene as well as were able to help my mom calm down by giving her more coherant information on my state of being. I was concious and able to move around but my main concern was definitely the dogs so I kept being sat down to wait on the paramedics then would immediately be back to searching. As the paramedics arrived so did my parents so they took up the search to look for my dogs to get me to be taken by the ambulance, I didn't think I had needed a hospital trip but every single person at the scene when they saw my car begged me to go and be checked out with how bad it was, they said my vitals were good and I was definitely riding that adrenaline high and needed to be checked out so I finally gave in and just sat in the ambulance after my mom said they wouldnt stop looking for Rita and Athena.
I finally made it to the hospital around 12:30 and waited for xrays to be done, thankfully I had a friend who met me at the hospital and helped get me home since my parents were still at the scene of the accident, I didn't receive news on the dogs until around 2am I found out Rita was found on the other side of a swampy area, my dad had to go in water that went well above his head while once Rita saw him despite being injured, she immediately started trying to crawl through and get to him so by the time they left the scene at 2:30 only Rita was found and there were no signs of Athena. I finally got out of the hospital around 4-4:30am, they gave me painkillers and a muscle relaxer and said nothing looked broken and put a compression bandage on my knee to hold it in place and reduce swelling and then my friend took me home where I went and checked on Rita who you could just tell there was something wrong with her front paw. It was swelling, if she moved wrong she'd let out tiny little whimpers (and if you know Rita she does n o t make noise when shes in pain so thats how you know its bad, like even her ACL tear- nothing but this was apparently worse for her.) I made my facebook posts about the dogs and shortly after went to sleep which in between me falling asleep and waking up Athena was found and on the way home; my dad had given up looking for her at 2:30am and the one who found her said they found her at 2am so thankfully that meant she wasn't left out there alone by the time she returned to me. Athena has very small cuts and rashes nothing severe or even all that noticeable, Cody looks like he mightve gotten the best out of it, and Rita when we took her to a vet she had fractured her joint at her elbow and needed surgery or it wouldve meant amputation. We found a place that was able to work with us to get it done so that she wouldnt need that amputation and shes currently recovering but this whole experience has really been something else. I cannot explain enough how thankful I am to be as lucky as I am, if any part of that crash happened any differently I'm not sure I'd be able to say we all made it out alive. If I didn't hit the tree my car would've been underwater, if I didnt fully spin the way I did and hit my drivers side instead of passenger I'd be critically injured if not dead, if the tree hit even a few inches more to the left my motor wouldve been in my lap, the way my windows broke there were no sharp edges remaining so I was able to get out with no major issues as well as the dogs dont have many cuts at all on them.
I am so lucky to be alive with my animals, and if it werent for my parents help I wouldnt have been able to get Ritas surgery as quickly as we did, I've started this gofundme to help with Ritas bills so that we can all just try and focus on recovering the best we can through all this. Anything helps and if you can't donate if you could please just share it around.
