Got to be honest I'm pretty tired of having a beard and I have been trying to do this for over a year and a half now and struggling. I transitioned because I'm doing it for me and this is a big step for me.
I am a 34-year-old autistic transgender individual and a full-time employee navigating my gender transition who lives in Seattle, Washington. As a disabled person living independently, managing the financial aspects of my transition presents significant challenges. I am writing to request help funding for two crucial aspects of my journey: laser hair removal and electrolysis, and the ongoing costs associated with transition.
These treatments help me be harassed less, and overall make me and actually really help me because I have a sensory overload shaving everyday and have meltdowns which I don't really mention to people. Laser hair removal and electrolysis are significant expenses that are difficult to manage on my own, and I have been transitioning for over a year now but due to the rising costs overall and wage increase just not happening and I live in Seattle without a vehicle.
Adding to these financial burdens is the lack of family support. Due to past neglect, abuse, and their inability to accept my transition, I am estranged from my parents and do not have their emotional or financial assistance.
Receiving funding for these aspects of my transition would not only just make my life easier but would also have a profound positive impact on my mental health and overall quality of life, allowing me to focus on other things besides my appearance. Thank you for being wonderful and supportive if you want to help You really do make a difference in my life.
