Syria & Pakistan School Supplies
Donation protected
It's me again, Zakariya! I am excited to share my current help the people project with all my friends and family who helped me with my Pakistan Heat Wave fundraiser. I could not have doubled my goal without your help.
I will be visiting Pakistan with my family soon. During our trip not only do I want to help more people but I want to see what their lives are like.
You see, my mom told me about a picture she saw on the Humans of New York page. Our idea was born and inspired by a young boy who decided to forgo buying his school supplies so that his mother could pay rent.
My friends and I are blessed to buy school supplies every year. It is something that we look forward too. For many children around the world, this is not the case. They simply do not have it the way we do.
In the second leg of our trip, we will be visiting Turkey. While we are in Turkey we hope to help children who are Syrian migrants pay for their school fees/supplies. We will visit and meet the Children at their school. I want the to know that we are all thinking about them and praying for them.
Here is a message from my mom:
We are teaming up with Muslim Helping Hands who inspired us to start a project in Turkey. Muslim Helping Hands was a part of a great initiave in providing monthly food rations for Syrian migrants in need.
The families in need are those who have fled their homes, risked their lives, have been separated from the friends and relatives and they have little to no routine or normalcy in their lives.
Please help by contributing to give their children a real chance. With Gods help an education can change everything, especially the future. These kids deserve a future, just like our children do.
Our trip is just around the corner so we kindly ask that all donations and contributions be made no later Sunday October 4th.
