Hi,
My name is Raquel Herring, and I live in the United States. I'm helping Zaid Abu Al-Jidian launch this campaign because of GoFundMe's location restrictions.
Zaid and his family are living in dire circumstances in Gaza due to the ongoing war, lack of resources, and soaring prices. Before the war, they had a house, a cart, and a small supermarket as a source of income. But with the start of the war, their house was bombed, their cart was destroyed, and their supermarket was completely demolished. They have nothing left but their lives. They have been displaced multiple times: first from their home to schools, then the school was threatened, so they went to Rafah where they lived in a tent. After Rafah fell, they moved to Khan Younis, and when the Israeli occupation forces entered Khan Younis, they were forced to go to Deir al-Balah, where they are currently living in a tent that offers no protection from the heat or the cold, especially with the onset of the harsh winter.
Given the ongoing challenges in Gaza, characterized by a prolonged dearth of resources, a persistent lack of employment opportunities for several months, and the recent bombing of Gaza's infrastructure and higher education facilities, Zaid faces financial constraints that hinder his ability to work and eat. Surviving the price gouging in Gaza requires a minimum of $5000.
All donations go directly to Zaid, please join me in sharing his story. Your support is sincerely appreciated in aiding Zaid on this impactful journey. Thank you!
