Zachary Lee was shot in the head on October 6th doing what he had dedicated his life to: helping others. He was a remarkable man who turned his life around and was living the life of an honorable person helping those with alcohol and drug addiction. Anyone that knew Zack knew he would do anything to help other people and that you could count on him to laugh along with you.
Zachary, 43, had gone to a store in west Ventura to do a favor for a friend when he apparently was confronted by three people police said. One of them shot Lee in the head, leaving him to die on the sidewalk.
Lee was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition on October 6th, 2013. He was declared brain dead and died days later.
If you can help in any way we are getting a fund together to do what we can to help catch Zack's killer or killers. This fund will go to anyone that helps assist VPD in arresting and convicting Zack's killer.
Together we can make a difference. Not only in getting redemption for his senseless murder but also for getting a cold blooded killer off the streets.
