Zach's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
Our dear friend Zach was recently involved in a serious motorcycle accident. He was riding down the road when an unsuspecting driver turned left into his lane and cut him off, causing a collision. Despite his best efforts to avoid the car, Zach collided with the vehicle and was critically injured.
Thanks to the quick thinking of a bystander who applied a tourniquet to Zach's leg, he was able to receive timely medical attention, which we believe to be life-saving. He was rushed to the hospital and placed in the ICU in an effort to reduce the trauma and injuries to his leg. Zach sustained a severe compound fracture in his lower leg, damage to his knee, and had multiple complications as a result of the accident. Thanks to the critical care by the staff at Eskenazi and a multitude of surgeries - Zach is now on the mend.
We are thankful that Zach is a fighter and one of the toughest people we know. Unfortunately, he has a long road to recovery ahead of him. For anyone who does not know Zach on a personal level, his genuine and kind-hearted nature shines through in every aspect of his life. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog and loving girlfriend, going on hikes and nature walks, and staying fit by going to the gym regularly. Zach's active lifestyle and incredible discipline are a testament to his dedication to both his physical and mental wellbeing; two things that will serve him well during his recovery.
Due to the accident there is a variety of medical bills and expenses that quickly add up when receiving such extensive care. To make matters all the more difficult, Zach will be unable to work while he is recovering (As a self-employed carpenter, Zach pours his heart and soul into his work, which is a true reflection of his craftsmanship).
We are reaching out to our community for support during this challenging time. Zach is not only an incredibly tough individual, but he is also a genuinely good person with a great heart. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and has touched the lives of so many people. Any amount you can donate will go a long way in helping Zach with his medical bills, expenses and time away from work while he is recovering. He is one of the most giving people we know, and we want to do everything we can to support him during his recovery.
Thank you for your generosity and support. It means the world to Zach and his loved ones. Please share this post to help spread awareness.
