“Just weeks ago, I was walking, working, and caring for my family. Now, I’m fighting every day just to move, and I need your help to get my independence back.” ⸻ From My Heart to Yours Life has thrown me some tough challenges lately, and every day is a little battle to keep moving forward. But thanks to the kindness of friends, family, and even strangers, I’m reminded that I’m not walking this path alone. Your donations, shares, and kind messages aren’t just helping me get the mobility equipment and support I desperately need – they’re giving me hope. They’re telling me my story matters. They’re giving me the strength to keep going when days feel heavy. If you’ve already donated or shared – thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You’ve made more of a difference than you know. If you haven’t yet, I’d be so grateful if you could take a moment to share my story or contribute whatever you can. Every single act of kindness – big or small – brings me closer to independence and a brighter tomorrow. ⸻ My Story Hi, my name is Yvonne. I’m 49 years old and a devoted mum to my beautiful daughter with special needs. I’m reaching out with deep vulnerability and hope during one of the hardest times in my life. Just over a month ago, I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) – a condition that has completely changed my world. Before this, I was working as a traffic controller, on my feet every day, earning a living, and doing my best to provide for my family. Now, I can no longer walk without a walker. I suffer from non-epileptic seizures, severe fatigue, involuntary head movements, and my left leg drags when I try to move. I’ve lost the ability to drive and can no longer manage simple tasks like walking down stairs or dressing myself without help. I’m now at home, adjusting to this new reality, but without a mobility scooter or regular home care, each day is a challenge. On top of managing my own condition, I also care for my daughter, who has special needs of her own. Because I was working casually, I don’t have sick leave or income support. And as I’m not an Australian citizen, I’m not eligible for the NDIS. I’m doing my best, but right now, I can’t do this alone. ⸻ Why I’m Asking for Help I’m hoping to raise $20,000 to cover urgent and essential costs: • A reliable mobility scooter • In-home support to assist with daily care, mobility, and dressing I never imagined life would change so drastically in such a short time. Just weeks ago, I was walking, working, and independent – now I’m fighting for the basic ability to leave my house or care for myself safely. If you can donate, or even share this campaign, it would mean more than I can express. Every single contribution brings me closer to regaining my independence, dignity, and the ability to keep showing up for the daughter who needs me. From the bottom of my heart – thank you for reading, sharing, and caring. With love, Yvonne
