Hi,
my name is Sikkina. I live in Lancashire, UK. I work in retail administration and have 4 children.
For 21 months the world has witnessed the ongoing Genocide in Gaza since Oct 7th 2023, with no clear intentions of a ceasefire or peace deal in the near future. Seeing the horrific images and videos on our screens is beyond comprehension. I am trying to do what I can by joining protests, boycotting, raising awareness and praying for peace throughout Palestine. Raising funds is another way we can help support people in Gaza to help get their families to safety.
The funds raised will help support my family friend Yousef and his family to survive the ongoing Genocide in Gaza and help rebuild their lives when this horrific genocide ends. Yousef and his family have been displaced many times throughout this genocide and are currently living in streets. What was once Yousef's home is now reduced to rubble.
There is no basic amenities such as sanitation or showers. Food is scarce and what is available is scandalous prices. The distribution sites set up by Israel is a death trap. But people still risk their lives to get aid. They either die of starvation or risk death by bullet. But it is sadly a risk people have to take for survival.
How You Can Help:

This is Yousef al-Najjars' story:
My name is Yousef al-Najjar
I was born in the city of Khan Yunis
I finished my university studies and obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing.
I have been working in my chosen career of nursing in various hospitals in Gaza. I was working at the European hospital in Gaza until it was bombed 2 months ago and is now out of use. Every single hospital in Gaza has been bombed and damaged and we are working above any capacity imaginable.

I am married with 2 children, Abdullah is 4 and Tala is 18 months. Tala was born during the war, I delivered her myself due to lack of emergency services. I have lived life in Gaza my whole life and never crossed from its borders. Before the war, I was providing for my family and we were living a happy life. Now we have lost our basic rights for survival.

In April I lost my beloved sister Eklhas, her husband Mohammed and their 4 children, Basma, mona, Abdul raheem and Ibrahim. She returned to her broken home when they were told it was safe to do so. Her home was targeted with a bomb and they were all martyred. This time was so traumatic for my family and I. We were such a close family and are left heartbroken over this tragedy. The war does not give us chance to mourn our loss.
My sister Eklhas.

Mohammed and the children

It is not easy to ask for help, but in this war we have lost everything. Although I work as a nurse, I have no salary due to the situation of the war, but I carry on working for my people.
The war has stolen everything from us. I could not imagine reaching this stage, where there is no house or income left. We are now living in a moment when we only have clothes and life in tents. And now in the summer we are also suffering a lot, as the tent is like an oven, not to mention the scarcity of water, food and medications.
We are now suffering from the scourges of war, heat and diseases. I swear that no one can tolerate this life behind the screen.
My children have lost their right to education, their right to treatment, and their right to the lowest necessities of life. Every night they wake up terrified at the sound of constant bombing and drones.
My Children have the right to live in safety and peace. Please Help me and family to survive and start our lives again.
We are proud people who are trying to survive the most inhumane circumstances.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign is to survive the genocide and help rebuild our lives when this is finally over.

Asking for help is not easy, but we are left with no choice if we want to survive. Part of me wishes this would end today and may I return to God with family. Then I see my family life and children and realise I cannot give up for their sake. As we strive to rebuild our broken lives, we are very grateful for any help you can give. Thank you and God bless you for your kindness and generosity in our time of need. Every dollar makes a difference, kindly support and share to help the people of Gaza survive and strive for life.
Thank you
Yousef Al-Najjar.
