Hace 5 años nacio el que seria nuestro ultimo bebe, nunca imaginamos que Dios nos mandaria a un angelito (un niño con necesidades especiales). El es nuestra mas grande bendicion. Nosotros, luchamos dia a dia para hacerlo feliz y sacarlo adelante.
About five years ago our last baby was born. We never imagined that God would send us an angel (an angel with special needs). He is our greatest blessing. We strive every day to make him happy and see him go on in life .
El 12 de Enero de 2015 Yerik cumplio 5 años. Pero el actua como un bebe de 3 a 7 meses de edad. Yerik nacio con una condicion no muy comun llamada "Hipoplasia del Cuerpo Calloso". El cuerpo calloso esta considerado como el sistema de associacion interhemisferica mas importante del cerebro. A causa de eso, el sufre un cierto retraso general en el desarollo sobre todo en las areas motora de cordinacion, equilibrio, tono muscular, languaje, problemas con la alimentacion, problemas con la vision, dificultades en el aprendisaje y anivel sensorial. La condicion de Yerik no es un sindrome ni enfermedad, si no es una malformacion en el cerebro por lo cual los doctores no pueden dar un diagnostico especifico.
On January 12, 2015 Yerik was five years old but has the physical ability and mentality of a baby of 3-7 months. Yerik was born with a condition not common called " Hypoplasia of the Corpus Callosum ". The corpus callosum is considered the most important system of the brain because it links the two cerebral hemispheres and allows the two sides of the brain to intercommunicate. Because of that , he suffers a general delay in his developing body especially in the areas of motor coordination, balance, muscle tone, language, feeding problems, problems with vision, difficulties of learning at a sensory level. The condition that Yerik has is not a syndrome nor disease, but a malformation in the brain. Doctors can not give a specific diagnosis .
Yerik desde su nacimiento asta la edad actual a estado hospitalizado por diferentes infecciones. Neumonia, bronquitis, culebrilla (herpes zoster), infecciones respiratorias y muchas mas. Debido a su condicion, Yerik tiene el sistema inmunologico bajo.
Yerik, from birth till now has been hospitalized for different infections. Pneumonia , bronchitis , shingles (herpes zoster ), respiratory infections and many more. Because of his condition , Yerik's immune system is low.
Comentaron los doctores que Yerik no es elegible para ningun tratamiento o cirugia. El solo puede ser tratado con todas las terapias posibles y equipos necesarios para una futura reabilitacion. Yerik desde los 6 meses, empezo con mucha ayuda en diferentes terapias. Eso para nosotros era hermoso y pensabamos que en pocos años nuestro angelito alcanzaria una reabilitacion apropiada a su capacidad.
Doctors have said that Yerik is not eligible for any treatment or surgery. He can only be treated with all possible therapies and equipment. When Yerik was 6 months old, he started with a lot of help in different therapies. That for us was beautiful and we thought that in a few years our little angel would regain his ability to do what children his age do.
Desafortunadamente al cumplir 3 años todos esos servicios desaparecieron y empezaria para nosotros una lucha incansable por una reabilitacion y no verlo postrado en una silla de ruedas para el resto de su vida.
A Yerik le han negado muchas terapias sumamente importantes y equipos necesario por no tener un diagnostico especifico. La sonrisa de nuestro angelito es el motor de nuestras vidas para seguir luchando por su reabilitacion. Primeramente Dios se que junto a ustedes lo lograremos!
Unfortunately when Yerik was three, all these services began to slowly disappear. For us it's a tireless struggle trying to find a reabilitacion center so we wouldn't have to see him confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Yerik has been denied many extremely important therapies and equipment necessary simply for not having a specific diagnosis . Our little angel 's smile is the engine of our lives to keep fighting for his reabilitacion . Hopefully that with you we make it!
Afortunadamente, Yerik hace algunos meses fue aceptado en un centro de rehabilitacion donde le brindaran variedad de terapias este centro se encuentra en San Antonio, Texas. Para que Yerik pueda beniferciarse de esas terapias, necesitamos viajar constantamente y eso es muy costoso. Todos los gastos corren por nuestra cuenta.
Fortunately, a few months ago Yerik was accepted into a rehabilitation center which will provide a wide variety of therapies. This center is located in San Antonio, Texas and is pretty far from where we live in California. In order for Yerik to take advantage of these therapies, we would constantly need to travel and that is very expensive. All costs are on us and we don't have much to begin with.
Decidimos hacer esta recaudacion de fondos para apoyar a Yerik en terapias, equipos y todos los gastos necesarios para su reabilitacion.
Este angelito tiene una gran pasion por tocar piano y yo confio en Dios que con una buena reabilitacion algun dia llegara aser un gran pianista. Si mi pianista favorito.
We decided to do this fundraiser to help Yerik with therapies , equipment and all necessary expenses for reabilitacion.
This angel has a great passion for playing piano and I trust in God that with good therapy sessions, someday he can become a great pianist. My favorite pianist!
