Hello everyone,
My name is Natalya. I’m a transgender woman stuck in Ohio with my partners Chloe and Emily. We recently learned that our HRT clinic will no longer have our medicine due to shortages in the state. Our states medicaid also no longer covers gender affirming care, so out of pocket it would cost a total of over 800$ per month. With our current income levels we will never be able to afford this and simultaneously keep our housing, food, and basic needs met.
Our only hope now is to flee to a state that will help us reestablish ourselves, give us equal access to healthcare, and free us from a life of constant anxiety and fear.
We’re forced to leave our homes, our families and everything we’ve ever known because Ohio and its political officials have turned their backs on us. We are desperately asking for your help to get out of this hell that was thrust upon us. Our plans are to go west, to a blue state with everything we own in a U-Haul or similar setup, find housing, then find doctors and insurance that will provide us with the healthcare we rely on to feel comfortable in our minds and bodies.
We humbly thank all of you for everything you’ve done and will continue doing to make us feel like we’re not alone in this fight. Your kindness and support through these tough times are something we will always humbly appreciate and respect.
Thank you all,
Love,
Natalya, Chloe, and Emily
