The past few months I have been at a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with the organization Youth With A Mission (YWAM). This time has been some of the most transformational of my life. I have grown exponentially & developed in ways I never could’ve imagined. It has sparked a love for evangelism, discipleship & the holy spirit within me that I never expected. It has been a true pleasure & an honor to get to experience this journey.

My next step on this adventure will be entering my next phase of training & education with YWAM. Phase II is called School Of Ministry Development (SOMD). This program is for those considering full time ministry & focuses on leadership maturity & practical ministry tools. I will have opportunities to apply what I'm learning by doing hands-on projects & one-on-one discipleship. This phase does not include an outreach necessarily but will include one road trip to California. The 3-month long education will start on April 6th & will be a full, immersive experience, so I will not be able to work or have any source of income during this time, so again I am asking for your support.

I believe I am right where I'm supposed to be, am confident in this next step & I am eager & excited to continue in the journey he has in store for me. In my last DTS experience, I saw God heal, transform & set captives free in so many ways. I saw hundreds of people across the world experience the love of Jesus, evaluate their own relationship with God, find salvation in him & so much more. Words can't describe the ways my faith has been built & the intimacy I have developed with my relationship with God. I have learned to love God, myself & others in a way that has exponentially enlarged my heart. My heart is much more open & willing to obey, trust & follow his plan & will for my life than it has been previously. I'm excited to see what else he will reveal to me in this next season.

I try not to have too many expectations & especially unrealistic expectations heading into new experiences. I want to hold this season with an open hand. God knows what I need better than I ever could. My intentions are to continue to develop greater intimacy in my relationship with the family of God, discover & grow deeper in my identity, character, integrity, giftings, strengths & talents & to gain a better biblical understanding of the complexities of ministry & missions. I'm motivated to join this program because I believe it is an essential building block to what God's calling, purpose, mission, will etc. for my life is. I am confident it will help grow & shape me into the version of myself God needs me to be to take the next step with him in our adventure together. It will help push me out of myself & into what God's vision for me is. The outcome I desire is that I fall more in love with Jesus & become a wiser warrior for the kingdom. Armed & prepared better for the battles to come.
