The Manhattan Childrens Center (MCC) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit school that provides scientifically-based world class treatment and education utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, to children ages 5 to 21, with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities. MCC's mission is to offer every child an opportunity to enjoy the highest quality of life, and emerge as a functioning member of their community.
We are the MCC Young Leadership Council (YLC), a community of passionate young professionals dedicated to raising awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities. We are building the future supporters of MCC by positively impacting lives, and expanding our experiences and networks.
Please join us as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of MCC at the Annual Seeds of Hope Gala. The funds raised from this event will be used to provide general operational support and expansion for amazing school programs and our “Seeds of Hope Opportunity Fund” which provides educational pathways for children with autism to be able to attend MCC. The MCC YLC has committed to a sponsorship goal of $5,000 so that 10 members of the YLC will attend and support the MCC Seeds of Hope Gala. Any amount gets us closer to our goal! Please share this link with your friends, family and other supporters of the YLC.
"I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Manhattan Childrens Center last spring through my company's community service day. I was completely blown away by the environment created for these kids through one-on-one lesson plans based around each child's strengths, by the patience and compassion of each teacher, therapist and parent, and, of course, by the students, who (even after a few hours) had such a profound impact on me. I joined the Young Leadership Council because I believe in MCC's ability to help its students reach their potential, while also promoting awareness and acceptance of those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders." Emily Houghton, YLC Member since 2016
