Cortney--Ever since I graduated x-ray school in 2013 I have wanted to do a medical mission trip! I couldn't find one that supported my field in radiology, was affordable (due to missing work, missing schooling and such), or they ended up cancelling it due to lack of volunteers.
In 2018 I started going back to school to finish my bachelor's degree to pursue my Masters as a physician assistant. I am one class away from finishing all my pre-requisites and applying this cycle and will hopefully get in this year to be closer to my dream job! I am participating in this mission trip to use my knowledge & experience in the field of medicine to help others. I am not only helping others, they will be helping me as well. I will gain insight as to what it is like in another country and how they function in the medical field with the resources they have. I hope to learn new things, use critical thinking, enhance my Spanish speaking skills, and learn about a new culture. I have read that mission trips are life changing and I can't wait to experience it all!

Stacey-- To be able to volunteer and help the less fortunate in another country has always been a dream of mine. God gives us each unique gifts in life and being in the medical field/radiology is mine! We should share our gifts and give back just as Jesus did. I hope this experience really touches the lives of the people we treat and also opens up opportunities to volunteer in the future!

Serena--Helping others in need has always been my passion which is why going on a medical mission trip is so important to me. I have been an x-ray tech for 16 years and have made the decision to apply to physician assistant school so I can do more! Being able to step out of my comfort zone to help those in need with the knowledge and skills I possess would be one of the greatest and most rewarding experiences.

Ashley- I am volunteering to help get some worldly perspective in the medical field. To be immersed in a totally different culture, and appreciate what they have to offer. I hope to offer what I can to help serve an underserved community. I have wanted to do a medical mission trip for awhile now, but never found the right time, place, or people to go with. This will be an amazing opportunity.
