Rebuilding Lives After Fire: A Christmas Tragedy

Donation protected

My name is Elijah Xiong,

I am writing on behalf of my family during one of the most difficult moments of our lives.

On December 18, 2025, the home where my six siblings and I spent our childhood was devastated by a sudden and unexpected fire. In a matter of hours, the place that held our memories, traditions, and sense of safety was severely damaged and left completely uninhabitable. Almost everything we owned—clothes, furniture, family keepsakes, school supplies, and everyday necessities—was destroyed from fire and smoke damage.

Because of this tragedy, our family was left with nothing but the clothes we were wearing that day. We are now facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over from scratch. At this moment, we are in urgent need of temporary shelter, food, clean clothing, and basic essentials.

There are nine people in our family—four adults and five children—each trying to cope with the emotional and physical impact of this loss. In addition, our little Pomeranian, Titan, is also part of our family, and ensuring his safety and care has been another concern during this already stressful time.

Losing our home has been especially heartbreaking because it happened during the holiday season, a time that is usually filled with warmth, family gatherings, and celebration. Instead, we are navigating uncertainty and grief while trying to remain strong for one another.

Despite everything, we are holding onto hope and doing our best to move forward together as a family.

Any donation, no matter the size, would mean more to us than words can express. Contributions will help us secure housing, replace essential belongings, purchase clothing for the children, and begin the long process of rebuilding our lives. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand and would be deeply grateful if you could share this fundraiser with others to help spread awareness and support.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, prayers, and encouragement during this incredibly difficult time. Your support reminds us that we are not alone.
