On October 9th, 2015 around 9PM my dear girlfriend, Xiao Li, was struck by a car while riding as a passenger on her friend's motorbike. Since then she has been in a coma with traumatic brain injury. 

I did not find out until Sunday. When I did I went to the hospital to see how she was. Sadly she has been unresponsive since the accident. I remain hopeful, but the injuries are very extensive. 

Today I found out her medical bills are mounting at a surprisingly alarming rate. To make things worse the insurance, as I understand it, is very limited because the driver of motorbike apparently ran a red light and the car driver most likely will bear little responsibility.

Xiao Li comes from the city of Yibin, which is located in Sichuan, China. Her family is not very well off and I know this will be financially devistating to them. I am reaching out to the community at large to help try to offset some her medical expenses as well as travel expenses for the family.

Under normal circumstances I would never reach out like this, but the expenses, as I understand them, are already over $15,000. Anything would help and most certainly be appreciated. I will make certain that every penny earned from this campaign goes directly to her family.
