Support Rhett's fight against leukemia
Donation protected
Rhett was a healthy 2 year old boy, playing and running around with his big sister when he began to show signs of fatigue, pale skin, rough nights of sleeping, fevers off and on, and pains in his legs. His parents knew something wasn't right so they took him into his pediatrician where they ran blood tests.
They received a phone call that night saying to get him to the emergency room "he might not make it through the night"... His white blood cells were over 60,000 and he only had 15,000 platelets.
He was diagnosed the following day with Leukemia (HR B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on January 7, 2021.
The family was completely blindsided by this as he has been such a healthy little boy, so full of life and love since the day he was born.
He comes from a close-knit family of 6 including Rhett's two sisters, mom, dad, and nana; Rhett's dad is a 100% Disabled Army Veteran with a Purple Heart where he served 6 years as a paratrooper and did multiple tours in Afghanistan. Rhett's mom is a stay-at-home mom and caretaker where she homeschools Rhett's older sister and runs a small home business.
He has been so brave while receiving his chemo treatments along with all of the other procedures of lumbar punctures, scans, blood work, blood tranfusions (10+), and platelet transfusions (5+). He has a long journey ahead with chemo, including several inpatient stays, while fighting this cancer.
This fund is being set up for his family to assist with the cost they will incur while providing Rhett with his treatments for the best chance of survival and for him to grow into a happy and healthy boy. The family is blessed with the continued out-pour of support and prayers for their little boy as they fight this ugly disease.
These are tough times for everyone, but any amount will help this family out so much!!
