Fundraiser for Workplace Incident in Rural QLD

Donation protected
On Sunday, 28 July 2019 at 9:30 am, three MSF Gordonvale Mill workers were involved in a horrific workplace incident at Little Mulgrave in Far North Queensland, leaving one worker dead and two seriously injured.

Brett Quinn was fatally electrocuted after a crane collided with overhead powerlines and Trevor Cole is seriously injured after running to help Brett. Trevor is currently in an induced coma with multiple injuries to this body and expected to be hospitalised for the next 3 months.

Brett was 49 years old and well known as a hard worker with a fondness for a good joke.

Trevor is a father with a wife and three children. His wife and son have had to fly over 1500kms from their regional home to Brisbane Hospital, while Trevor is in an induced coma.

The funds raised will go to:
- Brett's family, to cover all expenses.
- Trevor and his family, to cover medical and accommodation/travel costs for his family for the next three months

This fund has been set up by The Australian Workers' Union, Brett was a member of the union for over 31 years and Trevor has been a member for over 34 years.

Workers should not be dying or getting injured at work.

Workers should be able to go to work and return home safely to their families at the end of each working day.

Thank you for your generous donations to such an amazing cause.
