Welcome to the home of the John Wizeman and Family KSA (Kick Some Ass!) Fund. We truly appreciate your interest in helping our family through this difficult time.


Diagnosis
In August 2015 John was diagnosed with Grade IV Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He endured brain surgery to remove one tumor; the second is inoperable and he is now undergoing radiation treatment. You can read more about this type of cancer and his prognosis here .

John's KSA
John is an incredible father to John, Caroline, Christopher, Joseph and William, wonderful husband to Dana, beloved brother to 9 siblings and friend to hundreds who admire his perseverence, wicked sense of humor and his enormous heart. 

Before John became aware of his illness, he made St. Michael medals for his children and wife. The inscription reads Do & Be Good, KSA (Kick Some Ass.)

This is a family who already know how to cherish each other through faith and love. But they will need more than that to get through the years ahead.


Our Request

The Wizeman household has been inundated with generous gifts...meals, toys, etc...but medical bills are growing and income will be difficult as John focuses on recovery and Dana tends to John while maintaining a 'normal' life for their younger children ages 17, 11 and 4.

Recently John has been in and out of the hospital with pneumonia and related effects from radiation; should he have the strength, we're hopeful he will be in rehabilitation or at home for Thanksgiving. At-home care will include at least $4,000/month for a personal aide and $1,000/two months for ramps for his wheelchair...and uncovered medical expenses are a looming concern.

Anything you can give will be much appreciated - and if you can't donate now, I ask that you keep John, Dana and family in your prayers. Sharing this page on social media is quite helpful too as we pray for some random acts of kindness.
