Wilma Nakamura Memorial Fund

UPDATE:

We regret to inform you that Wilma Nakamura made her way to the Great Beyond just before midnight on March 24, 2023. She was resting peacefully in her home in Keokea, in the presence of her loving family. We appreciate your continued support as we grieve the loss of our dearly beloved.

UPDATE:

We wanted to share an update on Wilma. Unfortunately, we've learned that Wilma experienced some complications in addition to her stroke and as a result, her health has declined rapidly. She was moved home with the support of hospice care and is resting in the comfort of her home with family and friends. We have changed the status of this fundraiser to support Wilma's transition and the resulting expenses. Any funds not used to cover expenses will be put into a fund for Wilma's granddaughter, Lily. Aloha friends and family of Wilma,

On Friday evening, Wilma was admitted to the Maui Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room as she had experienced a stroke. She has been moved from the ER to the ICU where she is currently being cared for. At the moment, she has very limited ability to communicate and also limited mobility.

Her road to recovery is likely going to be both time and energy intensive. She is also accumulating a significant amount of medical expenses. So that Wilma can focus her energy on her healing, we ask that you please consider donating and/or sharing Wilma's GoFundMe campaign to help cover her medical expenses.
