On 5/07/2020, My wife and I received a phone call from our clients (Laura and Elizabeth) who we have been working with to buy a home. Instead of it being the usual call to see how much longer till they can sign paperwork for the new home, it was the worst news anyone could bare hearing. Our clients were at home taking a nap with their children, only to be woken up by the sound of their burning roof collapsing around them. The adults and the two youngest children escaped. The collapse unfortunately trapped and killed their 11 year old son, Silas. In one split second, this happy and loving family lost everything!
Although my wife and I are only their real estate agents, we have gotten to know them and befriend them. They are great people with two young children that need help more than ever now. Our goal is to help this family with funeral expenses, clothing, and some essentials (beds, cookware, and some basic furniture) to help get them back on their feet. The utmost importance is a proper funeral for Silas and clothing for the family.
