Help Whitney Beat Colon Cancer
Donation protected
As some of you may know, my cousin Whitney is on her second year in a fierce battle against cancer. In August of 2021 she was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. She endured months of chemotherapy, surgeries and procedures all while working full time and caring for her family. Late last year, after nearly a year cancer-free we received devastating news. The cancer had returned — now stage 4 and metastasized to her liver.
In February, we were able to meet with a specialist in Houston who gave us hope where we thought there was none. Whitney was immediately put on a treatment plan which will involve traveling to Houston for several appointments and surgery in May. Unfortunately this also means she’ll go multiple weeks without pay.
Whitney is facing cancer the same way she faces life—with high spirits and contagious positivity. Despite the incredible physical and emotional toll, she sees every day as an opportunity to live life to its fullest.
Though Whitney had saved for unexpected circumstances, she never could have anticipated such a long health crisis and all of its expenses. No one saves for cancer twice! Any donation will help soften the mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and treatments not covered by insurance (surgery alone is $25,000 out-of-pocket!). Contributions will also go towards creating positive memories and experiences with her 8-year-old daughter, Evie.
Our goal is to make the heavy burden of finances just a little bit lighter. If you can’t help monetarily, please share her story and send all of the positive energy and prayers possible.
Xoxo
