Hey everyone! I'm Kari and I'm starting this page on behalf of my niece, Whitney Hubbard. Before I even begin, I would like to thank you for visiting this page and hopefully making a small donation to help this great cause.
The cause: A missions trip to Grace Lutheran Church in Grenada. This is in an area of the country where there is a lot of flooding and a tragically high number of people drown every year because of it. The "mission" on this missions trip is to spend the days teaching swimming lessons to the local village children and to host bible classes in the evenings for the children that they can attend if they would like to.
So lets learn a little bit about this girl that i'm lucky enough to call my niece. Whitney is 17 years old and has been an honor roll student her entire life. She was hand selected to go on this trip because of the many, many outstanding teacher and pastor reccomendations that she received. She takes a dance class every week and teaches gymnastics to children age 3-13 through a recreational program in her city. On top of all that, she is also working a part time job to help pay her own way. She adores her 4 younger siblings and does whatever she can to help out at home! I am so incredibly proud of the woman she is growing up to be, she is humble, selfless, kind and extremly bright. I truly believe that this experiece will not only be life changing for her, but she will make a difference in the lives of the children she is going to help on this trip.
Any money raised will be applied directly towards her trip . I'm extremely hopeful that we can raise enough money by March 15th so she doesn't miss out on this opportunity to help.
