Kyle was born 7 weeks premature with normal brain functions. Unfortunately, circumstances during his first hospital stay left him with Cerebral Palsy. He has experienced multiple health issues including losing the function of one kidney and experiencing seizures. Per the powers that be, Kyle will not be eligible for any social security benefits until he turns 18 (in three more years). Although he has never been able to walk or talk normally or even sit up on his own to feed himself, Kyle is one of the most good-natured, happy young persons I know!
Tracey has no troubles when taking Kyle to one of his doctors, Kyle goes along without a fuss, as he has never known anything different. He is always laughing and smiling, especially at special activities when friends push him in his wheelchair around a baseball diamond or basketball court, chasing others.
Tracey stays home to provide full time care for Kyle, which includes feeding, changing, bathing, and exercising his muscles. She has developed carpal tunnel syndrome from the strenuous and repetitive tasks she performs each day with love, but she cannot get treatment without ending their mobility, as one of her tasks is to lift the wheelchair in and out of the back of the minivan.
As Kyle has continued to thrive under his family’s loving care; he has outgrown his current wheelchair, and the next size chair will not fit in the minivan. We would like to raise $66,500 to purchase a wheelchair accessible automobile.
Our family has been blessed beyond words and continues to be blessed. Although Tracey, Brian and Connor have been blessed with such an amazing son and brother, they are in need of our help. We are reaching out to our family and friends for as much support as they can give. Our dream would be to give the family the means to help Kyle and his amazing mother. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In addition, if you know of any dealership that offers special pricing for such a vehicle, we appreciate any referrals.
