Weston Wiens Fights Childhood Cancer

Donation protected
If you know the family, then you likely know that Weston (5 years old) was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) (aka Pontine Glioma or Brainstem Glioma) when he was just 2 years old on October 3, 2017. Katie (Mom) stopped working and has been the stay-at-home caretaker since his diagnosis. Weston is a fighter and has been battling this form of cancer for the past few years. Weston is a lively little guy, making friends and his presence known wherever he is. He loves baby Yoda, Roblox and to play restaurant. The “Westaurant” is the hottest spot in the summer :)

Unfortunately, on April 30, 2021 an MRI revealed an increase of lesions in Weston's brain and although his original tumor is stable there is nothing more that can be done medically speaking. Weston is now on Comfort Care at home with his family and they are making as many memories as possible at home during his last few months.

As a parent, this is the worst news ever. Hearing your child only has a few months with you is devastating. With this news, Ryan (Dad) has made the exceedingly difficult decision to take some time away from work to be with his family. Going from the full-time breadwinner of the family to part-time will be challenging financially but spending this time together as a family is important. They’ll never have this time back. We can help this family have that gift of time by helping alleviate some of the financial stress.

Thank you for clicking on this page to learn more. We know there is a lot going on in the world around us and your time is valuable. Now that you're here we want to show our love and support for the Wiens Family, Ryan & Katie + Brylen (13 years old) & Weston (5 years old) during their challenging time. This family is so kind and giving to those around them, that we want to do whatever we can to give back to these amazing people. We know times are difficult for many, but every little bit helps and is appreciated. If you’re unable to give, we appreciate any good thoughts, good vibes and prayers that you can send to the Wiens family.

Thank you for reading their story and  helping if you are able.  We know they will appreciate any love and support you can send their way.
