Thank you for coming this far. My name is Lauren and this page is for my best friend and soulmate, Lucy.
Lucy is my sensitive, loving, always wiggling her butt because she is that contagious spirit. It's impossible to be in a sour mood around her.
I am asking for help. My girl is 7.5 years young and has an aggressive, fast-growing mammary tumor that needs emergency surgery. She has saved me from my darkest days and comforts me even when I’m emotional over a sad movie. Lucy is always there for me. She bobs her head and smiles big when I spontaneously bust into dance moves. The words “car ride” jazz her up like she has won the lottery.
I can’t let her down just because I financially have fallen short. “A day late and a dollar short.” Lucy deserves more car rides, long walks, morning eggs, and the occasional sashimi treat. She has so much more exploring to do. The girl is so brave; a tumor the size of a softball would have me in bed and mentally exhausted. My girl is a true queen!
I'm heartbroken and so scared for her. We will be getting scans, X-rays, and more bloodwork Tuesday morning. I’ve been told it’s possible it could rupture, so everything needs to be done swiftly. I know Lucy would love healing thoughts as well—those are priceless.
Life is a sweeter place with Lucy!
I want Luce to find her inner Showgirl. You should see her turn heads on our walks.
