First off, we would like to thank each of you for all of the support we have received since we came into each others lives; we are so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends. We are very much looking forward to joining each other's families, as well as starting a family of our own.
In a celebratory fashion, to kick off the beginning of our journey down the road called "marriage", there is one BIG adventure we would like to embark upon... a honeymoon in Japan.
Since a honeymoon is supposed to be a once in a lifetime experience, we have decided it only makes sense for us to visit Japan and experience it together as we start our new phase of life.
You see, Dave has always been fascinated with Japan, and has shared that fascination with Jenna over the course of their relationship- through cooking (homemade "fancy" Ramen noodle bowls, udon noodles, soba noodles, and sushi (that Dave hand rolls); watching Anime (though Jenna is still warming up to the idea of this); playing Japanese video games, and even listening to some Japanese pop music. Dave would love to experience all of these things firsthand, and share that experience with Jenna.
And Jenna could appreciate a trip to Japan for reasons of her own as well. She has spent many years being fascinated with the culture and history of yoga, so she was delighted to hear, upon meeting Dave, that he was also very interested in the many benefits and lifestyle that yoga can provide. Japan is full of temples and shrines, and beautiful
nature-scapes, and Jenna feels that visiting these places would be an amazing spiritual experience for both herself and Dave to have together.
This will be a dream experience for us...but in order to pull it off, we need your help! In lieu of material wedding gifts we would be extremely grateful for donations made towards making our dream of visiting Japan possible.
