Kristie Berendt

Hi, we are Kristie Berendt's family, friends and loved ones and we are raising funds for her and her family.

On June 23rd, Kristie (47) was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer. Her first appointment with her oncology team was optimistic in that she would likely only need a lumpectomy, radiation and oral medication to follow. Further testing was done and showed the tumor was larger and other suspicious areas in the breast. With careful thought for the best outcome, the decision was made to move forward with a mastectomy, performed on July 27th. After the surgery, a pathology report came back which showed the cancer had also spread into the lymph nodes, which resulted in another surgery recommendation. Therefore, on August 13th, more lymph nodes were removed. Due to lymph node involvement, Kristie will now require 5 months of chemotherapy followed by radiation. 

While Kristie endures the physical and psychological effects of this disease, WE CAN HELP minimize the stresses associated with financial burdens with our generosity. Kristie is such an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is a woman that has been so very generous to others during her life, that now it is time for us to rally for her.

To help generate donations, a benefit will also be held on her behalf.
