Wayne's eye surgery

Some of you may know me better as Zeb so I'll include it here in the first line. I am in need of doing laser eye surgery in order to continue working--and doing everything else--ha! About two years ago I discovered that I had a cataract in my left eye. Since that time it has been slowly deteriorating until now, it is completely out of focus and my perception of light is dimming. My other eye, though better, is beginning to go as well and within about six months will need surgery.

As you know, my whole life has been devoted to doing art primarily for children's publications. More recently I have been doing animation which has been a great joy to me in bringing my cartoons to life. I'm working full time for a production company so thankfully, work is not a problem for me. But it is becoming increasingly difficult as my eyes continue to worsen. I have been putting off having surgery done due to a lack of money but "the handwriting is on the wall" that if I don't take care of this soon I will no longer be able to work.

Aside from my work, my wife and I have five of our children still at home one of which is in a wheelchair and our youngest is five years old. This month I turn 63 and I expect many years more of work and fun with my family and friends.
