Jeff Wamsley Memorial Fund

Donation protected

Hello!  My name is Tiffiny Wamsley and I have created this fund to benefit my parents, Jeff and Shannon Wamsley, as they continue to battle the cancer attacking my dad's body.  On my father's 47th birthday, April 21st, 2014, he was diagnosed with Metastatic Kidney Cancer.  In the past two years and three months, under the care of the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City and his wife, Shannon, he has undergone two surgeries to remove his affected kidney and a tumor on his knee, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and several trail treatments.

On July 9th, 2016, my parents received very bad news from his oncologist.  The cancer has spread and is attacking all of his organs now.  His liver can no longer tolerate further conventional treatment.  At the current rate of growth they suspect he only has a few months left on this earth with us.

That same day he was admitted into the ICU because he was having difficulty breathing and his oxygen levels droped dangerously low.  Two days later he was stable enough to go home, armed with steroids and breathing treatments to help his lungs.  The past few days have been a brutal test of strength for our entire family.

I know that one day I will have to accept that the sun is setting one last time for my father.  Today is not that day.  Anyone that knows Jeff Wamsley, knows that he is the 1% that defies the odds.  His strength has always been exceptional.  He still has so much Life left in him, especially when he is looking into the eyes of his first baby grand daughter Allison, who is only 5 months old.  There are people out there that have been diagnosed with weeks to live and have come back to good health.  I think that if this is possible for anyone, it is entirly possible for him.

Please do what you can to help us, as we face the challenges ahead.  My parents are very hard working people that have always gone out of their way to help others.  Now they are the ones in need of help.  We will be seeking more treatment options for my father that are less invasive and taxing on his body, while trying to keep him close to home with family as much as possible.  Sometimes the best medicine is Love.
