Our sister, Michelle Sauceda, has just begun a 3 year Waldorf Teacher training at Credo High in Rohnert Park CA!

The teacher training provides an in-depth study of Anthroposophy (the philosophical foundation of Waldorf education), intensive experience with the arts as a path of self-development, and in-depth understanding and practice of the integrated art and science of Waldorf pedagogy.

Michelle began this training after much prayer and conversation, and -- she cannot afford this investment in herself without community support.

Stepping onto the Waldorf teaching path is the natural progression of Michelle's incredible work as a mother, instructor, nature connection mentor, and herbalist. A future Waldorf teaching position will not only allow Michelle to share her many gifts with more children on a more sustained basis, but also provide a solid foundation and steady income to this amazing woman. 

Michelle has so graciously given support for me in my striving to lead an upright, inspired, connected life. I know she's an anchor, aunty, friend, and guide for so many... Please join me in supporting her!

I am saying yes to this training because I am committed to supporting youth of all ages in the development of their whole, bright selves.  I am here to help nurture and nourish their growth and learning path in a way that supports their curiosity, imagination and individuality.  So far I have found that Rudolf Steiner's renewal of education work manifest in Waldorf School is very supportive of bringing education to youth in a holistic way. I want to deepen my understanding of these teaching principles and practices...  I am also eager to participate in and be supported in the journey of inner work and transformation that is a part of this work.

MORE INFO ON THE WALDORF TEACHER TRAINING

Throughout three years, students are encouraged to embark upon new adult learning processes, overcome old habits and obstacles, and rediscover their inner potential. The path to becoming a Waldorf teacher requires a willingness to grow, awaken, and transform through self-knowledge. The program aims to provide students with a practical basis for self-development, so that when they stand in the classroom, they will not get in their own way, but will be able to perceive each child truly and teach out of an inner freedom. The program also deepens students understanding of child development, so future teachers can be supportive of the varying processes of the growing child.

CAMPAIGN DETAILS

The Waldorf teacher training costs $3,500 each year for three years = $10,500

Michelle needs to pay a significant portion of her first year tuition on January 11, 2019.

We are hoping to raise the full tuition for her in the near future. If we raise more, Michelle will put the money towards her program supplies, travel expenses, childcare, or other continuing education.
