WOYFCA Helmet Drive

Our Goal is to raise $15,000 in order to purchase and maintain new, state-of-the-art Riddell Revolution Speed football helmets for our players.

Wells Ogunquit Youth Football & Cheering Association (WOYFCA) programs are designed for children to learn the fundamentals of football and cheering while focusing on sportsmanship, respect, teamwork and love for the game. The program serves boys and girls in Wells and Ogunquit from kindergarten through the eighth grades.

In our continuing pursuit of excellence, we have embarked on an aggressive capital fundraising project to purchase new, state of the art Riddell Revolution Speed helmets for the safety of the children taking part in our program.
We recognize the increased awareness around head injuries and concussion in contact sports such as football, and we are taking a proactive approach to ensure our players are safe, healthy and strong.

Our comprehensive strategy includes:
• eliminating headfirst contact by teaching proper tackling, carrying and blocking
• reducing player exposure to risk by increasing awareness through ongoing training of
parents, coaches and field officials,
• and Investing in the best head protection equipment

To purchase and maintain these state of the art helmets WOYFCA will spend over $15,000. It is our goal to raise this money through business, organizational and individual donations. If you choose to donate, your organization’s name will be featured on our website, www.woyfca.com, in addition, the top 5 donators will be recognized as “team sponsors” with their organizations name featured on a field sponsorship banner to be displayed at all home youth football games for the 2014 & 2015 seasons. Furthermore, the top 15 donators will receive a plaque with their team’s picture. As a reminder, all monetary donations are tax deductible. Click on the “donate” tab to make your donation online.

Thank you for considering our request. If you have any questions or need further information, Please feel free to contact WOYFCA at [email redacted].com.
