My name is Donna Arrington and this is my niece Dana Doyle 40, and my nephew Nathan Smith 37. They both were born with RP ( Retinitis Pigmentosa). It is a degenerative eye disease which is incurable, except by divine healing! (which we are believing in). It is a slow progression of vision loss. It usually starts with the loss of the peripheral vision and eventually starts closing in on the central field of vision. The disease gradually causes blurred vision, color blindness, loss of depth perception and night blindness.

Nathan is 37 years old and is married with one child. His disease has progressed more rapidly than Dana's. He has NO peripheral vision and ONLY 7% to 10% field of central vision which is limited in clarity. Nathan was diagnosed at the age of 7 (1990) and had to stop driving by the age of 27 (2010). He was diagnosed as a teenager to be legally blind but was able to correct his issues with glasses until the disease progressed to the point glasses were no longer of use, at which time he lost his driving privilege's. (2010) . By 2013 he was no longer able to read books nor his bible. He relies on audio books or screen readers if he is able to read anything. Today, Nathan has to be assisted by his wife Alecia and his son Nathanyel to be his guide.
Dana is 40 years old and is married with three children. She was diagnosed in 2012 with RP and by 2018 she had lost her driving privileges'. As stated before hers is progressing slower than Nathans, but she has trouble maneuvering and seeing in dim lit areas, reading menus, distinguishing colors and worst of all she is not able to assist her husband in the family business because of her eye sight limitations.
The excitement of this groundbreaking product is unimaginable. We as a family have watch Nathan and Dana for years as this disease has gradually stolen not only their sight, but also their independence. For us to be able to give them this gift will be such a blessing.
