Help Violet Heal After Life-Changing Motorcycle Accident
Donation protected
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, around 9 PM, our beloved friend Violeta Lopez was struck by a distracted driver while on her motorcycle at the intersection of S. Chester and Wible in Bakersfield. She sustained injuries all over, with major trauma to her hip, leg, and foot, and has already undergone two surgeries, with more pending.
Doctors are predicting that her healing process could take up to a year, and unfortunately, amputation is still a possibility depending on how her body responds in the coming days. Violet is facing an uncertain and incredibly difficult road ahead — but if anyone has the strength and heart to fight through it, it’s her.
Violet is self-employed, which means she will be out of work & unable to earn an income during this extended recovery period. The financial burden from medical costs, essential bills, and the need for specialized care adds another layer of stress to an already difficult time.
If you know Violet, you know she’s the kind of person who always shows up. She has been a staple in the Bakersfield motorcycle community for nearly two decades — organizing events, community rides, and fundraisers for her community. She was one of the event organizers for the 2023 Bakersfield Halloween Benefit Ride that raised funds for local students, has led numerous rides to deliver gifts and essentials to the elderly in care facilities, and regularly participates in military escort rides to honor new recruits heading to serve our country.
This GoFundMe is to help cover:
- Medical expenses from surgeries and hospitalization
- At least one month of essential bills while she begins the long healing process
- Supportive care needs like mobility aids or home adjustments
Your donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. If you’re unable to give, please keep Violet in your prayers. Please also consider sharing this campaign with others in the motorcycle and Bakersfield community.
We’re trusting in God’s healing hands and giving thanks to our Lord Jesus for keeping Violet with us.
Thank you for your support, love, and continued prayers.
This GoFundMe is being hosted by our all-women riding group in Bakersfield. An in-person fundraiser is TBA.
