Dear families,
Can you imagine what it would be like to be awoken in the middle of the night smelling smoke and seeing your entire home damaged by fire, smoke and water damage? Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened to one of our teachers last night. Teresa Villamizar has been an educator with Pine Village Preschool for the past 6 years and her two young children attend the Kendall Square school. The 3 alarm fire in Somerville on May 5, 2016, had flames engulfing the roof and windows in a matter of minutes of the multi-unit building that housed Teresa and her entire family.
We would like to pull together as a community in an effort to support Teresa and her family during this difficult time. Every little bit will help them to get back on their feet to purchase clothing, shoes, food, household items and all of the basic necessities to get them through this time. We would be forever grateful for your assistance. Thank you!
